Website Terms, Membership & Licence Agreement
This website and associated platforms (“the Platform”) are operated by EduMentis Ltd (trading as CSUK), a company registered in England and Wales.
Throughout these Terms, “CSUK”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to EduMentis Ltd.
By purchasing a membership or accessing resources via csuk.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Membership Terms
1.1 Membership Duration
All memberships are sold as fixed 12-month licences.
-
Memberships do not auto-renew.
-
Access expires automatically at the end of the 12-month term.
-
No notice of cancellation is required, as there is no automatic renewal.
2. Payment Terms & Access
2.1 Card Payments
Where payment is made by debit or credit card:
-
Access is granted immediately upon successful checkout.
-
Access applies to the account created or renewed during checkout.
2.2 BACS Payments
Where payment is made via BACS (bank transfer):
-
Access will remain on hold until manually approved.
-
Our standard payment term for BACS invoices is 14 days from the invoice date.
By selecting BACS as a payment method, you confirm that:
-
You are authorised to place the order on behalf of your school;
-
Payment can and will be made within 14 days;
-
There are no internal approval barriers that would prevent timely payment.
If payment is not received within 14 days:
-
We reserve the right to apply an 8% late payment administration fee to cover the cost of payment recovery and administrative time.
-
We reserve the right to suspend or cancel access until payment is received.
Do not select BACS unless you are certain your organisation can meet the 14-day payment term, unless an alternative payment schedule has been agreed in writing in advance.
3. Free Trial
Where offered, a two-week free trial enables schools to evaluate the Platform before purchase.
It is the responsibility of the school to ensure suitability during this period.
4. Refund Policy
4.1 Cooling-Off Period
A full refund may be requested within 7 days of purchase, subject to the conditions below.
Refunds are granted on the understanding that:
-
Only minimal resources have been accessed or downloaded;
-
The Platform has not been substantially used.
4.2 Digital Resource Protection
Due to the nature of downloadable digital educational resources:
-
Refunds will not be granted where substantial quantities of materials have been downloaded;
-
Refunds will not be granted where systematic extraction of resource catalogues has occurred.
We reserve the right to determine what constitutes substantial usage.
5. Licence & Permitted Use
5.1 Licence Type
Membership provides a single-site, non-transferable licence for one school or educational institution.
The licence is granted to the purchasing school only.
5.2 Permitted Use
You may:
-
Share resources with students via a secure VLE, intranet, or password-protected system.
-
Share resources with teaching colleagues employed at the same school.
-
Edit and adapt downloaded resources for internal educational use.
-
Print resources for classroom use within your school.
6. Prohibited Use
You must not:
-
Redistribute, sell, sublicense, or transfer resources outside your licensed school.
-
Share resources between schools within a multi-academy trust unless each school holds its own membership.
-
Upload resources (including edited versions) to publicly accessible websites.
-
Remove copyright notices or branding.
-
Use resources for commercial gain beyond internal school use.
Unauthorised distribution constitutes copyright infringement and may result in termination of access and potential legal action.
7. Multi-Academy Trusts
Licences are granted per school site.
Where multiple schools within a trust require access, each school must hold its own active membership.
8. Intellectual Property
All resources, downloads, platform content, branding, software, and materials remain the intellectual property of EduMentis Ltd.
Purchase of a membership grants a licence to use resources — it does not transfer ownership.
9. Termination of Access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access immediately if:
-
These Terms are breached;
-
Resources are redistributed outside the licensed school;
-
There is misuse, copyright infringement, or abuse of the Platform;
-
Payment terms are breached.
Termination due to breach will not result in a refund.
10. Data Protection
We are committed to compliance with UK GDPR.
-
Our GDPR Policy is available on this page.
-
A DPIA template is provided to assist schools where required.
Schools remain responsible for their own compliance obligations when using the Platform.
11. Limitation of Liability
The Platform and resources are provided “as is”.
We make no guarantees regarding:
-
Examination outcomes;
-
Continuous uninterrupted access;
-
Compatibility with all internal school systems.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EduMentis Ltd shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
